These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CheckCheckNext web application at checkchecknext.com (the "Service"), operated by [Your Name] ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that:

• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CheckCheckNext is a life event organiser that allows you to create, manage, and visualise personal events across multiple views including timeline, calendar, dashboard, and planning. The Service includes features such as AI-powered natural language input, budget tracking, event sharing, recurrence support, and smart insights.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must sign in using a supported OAuth provider (Google, Facebook, or X). You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your OAuth account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.

We do not store your OAuth provider password. Authentication is handled entirely by the third-party provider.

4. User Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create within the Service, including events, categories, custom fields, and any other data you input ("User Content").

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you. This licence terminates when you delete your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use the Service for commercial purposes not authorised by us.
• Harass, abuse, or cause harm to other users.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.

6. AI Features

The Service includes AI-powered features such as natural language event parsing, smart suggestions, budget forecasting, and insight generation. These features are provided on an "as is" basis, and we make no guarantees regarding their accuracy, completeness, or reliability.

• AI-generated outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies. Always review and verify AI suggestions before relying on them.
• AI features process your input through Cloudflare Workers AI. Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• We may modify, improve, or discontinue AI features at any time without notice.

7. Sharing Features

The Service allows you to share events and categories with other users via invite links and permission-based access. When you share content:

• You are responsible for managing who has access and at what permission level (read, edit, or owner).
• Shared content may be visible to and editable by other users depending on the permissions you grant.
• You should not share sensitive or confidential information unless you trust the recipients.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime or availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.
• Technical issues with our hosting provider (Cloudflare).
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance where possible.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
